Have you wished you could have the skills to design for yourself?? Have ideas but just don’t know where to start? Have you thought before to give Graphic Design a go?
In this course you will learn everything you need to design your own print or digital projects on the computer using the Adobe Creative Suite. (Illustrator, Photoshop & Indesign) Invitations, posters, photo albums, flyers, brochures, logos, emails, business branding, ads, social media posts, illustrations, applications and websites all use common design principles which will be covered in this course. We will also cover some design theory where you will learn how to make design decisions based on human usability and user experience.
You will work on a design project of your choice throughout the 8 weeks as well as complete a number of mini projects during class to practice specific skills taught. After attending this course you will have the know how and confidence to design your own ideas. This will be useful in your everyday life and/or for business.
Your tutor has a bachelors’ degree in Graphic Design and 5 years work experience in Advertising, UX/UI design, Illustration, Photography, Marketing and Teaching Design.
This course is supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy and numeracy needs of students. You must attend 80% of the class. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
