A course, following classical traditions, of yoga postures, breathing practices and yoga nidra - a deep relaxation technique. In this style there is a strong emphasis on breathing and creating a meditative, relaxed awareness. No previous experience necessary. Previous experience welcome. Classes are designed to progress and deepen students' understanding of the more subtle aspects of yoga. The course is structured to provide a solid foundation for a personal yoga practice, and preparation for more advanced techniques.
Open to all.
Swami Kailash has studied and practiced yoga, as well as lived in yoga ashrams in New Zealand and India from an early age. He has more than thirty years of teaching experience, and teaches many aspects of traditional yoga, yoga philosophy and yoga lifestyle.
The Yoga class is an hour and a half duration. Please bring along a mat, blanket and cushion, and wear comfortable loose clothing. Come with an empty stomach.
