Persian cooking is a course that aims to provide ideas and hands-on experience in specific areas related to food preparation and food presentation.

 Maryam has always been passionate about cooking. She learned the art of Persian cooking from her mother, but perfected her methods over the past years.

 Persian food is one of the undiscovered treasures of Middle Eastern cuisine. It is delicious and healthy and uses very simple ingredients which are treated individually before being brought together in a dish. The cooking methods are simple, slow cooking where the flavors have a chance to mingle and infuse together.

 You will benefit at the end by learning:

  • about special and unique ingredients and how to work with them
  • to cook new dishes and how to cook a specific type of cuisine
  • techniques and unique flavor combinations that makes the cuisine of Persia so very special

 The best part about learning new dishes is you can take them home and introduce them to your friends and family. They will be impressed with your new found culinary skills! So join us and learn how to cook healthy delicious meals to bring a taste of the Persia to your kitchen.

 Before the first class you will be emailed a shopping and requirements list. Each session you will have recipes to add to your recipe book.

This course is supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy and numeracy needs of students. You must attend 80% of the class. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
