Using as set of basic tools (supplied) you will learn the fundamental skills required for jewelry making. You will learn sawing, drilling, filing, and silver soldering and be introduced to lost wax casting.
In a series of simple projects you will design and make your own earrings, rings and pendants. Each will project will incorporate different skills.
There will be possible extra costs for waxes and metals during the course.
Silver will be a variable extra expense as it is an expensive metal but will be worth the extravagance!
This course is supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy and numeracy needs of students. You must attend 80% of the class. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
