Tutor: Team taught by ToastMasters Awarded Speakers and coaches with many years experience in Presentations.  Humour is an added skill making presentations more interesting.

Tackle speaking in front of groups with confidence. Learn the tricks of the trade to get your message across effectively. Call a Spade a Spade and take the formality out of Public Speaking.

A ‘6 week’ fun course set up to assist people of all ages gain confidence.  

We never know when we are going to be put in the situation of having to speak publicly.  It just happens. And what do you do?

 These days communication skills in the workplace has become more and more important, and although schools have annual speech competitions there is very little formal training in place.  

 Enroll in this fun and special course and learn how whole new opportunities can open up for you. You will wonder why the fear of speaking ever held you back.

The Course: 

Working in pairs, you will learn:

Week 1           Meeting and introducing each other.  Breaking the Ice.

Week 2           The importance of good presentation, personal and verbal

Week 3           Learning to Evaluate, knowing what not  to do and why

Week 4           Importance of Body Language, how not to look nervous.

Week 5           Preparing for Interviews. Yes we all have to face these in our lives, but never be in fear again.  Understanding the Why, How, and What.

Week 6           Putting it All Together and Having Fun

 

 


This course is supported by the TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to assist with literacy and numeracy needs of students. You must attend 80% of the class. At the same time we hope you will learn other useful and interesting skills and have a lot of fun learning with us.
