About

He Puaawai is a school within a school, based at Fraser High School in Hamilton

We offer up to 30 places for pregnant or teenage parents who want the opportunity to complete their secondary school NCEA qualifications.

Our teachers are passionate about supporting students to achieve their learning and educational goals, and we endeavour to provide a supportive learning environment for all students.

We offer a range of subjects, through teachers on site, as well as from Fraser High School and other outside providers.

Students plan their own individual programmes based on their career and employment aspirations.

We work with youth providers, Midlands health and community organisations, to ensure our students receive the financial and wellbeing support they may need.
