Leader of Learning VISUAL ARTS

We are searching for a leader who exudes a passion for teaching and the Visual Arts!  Our Visual Arts department has produced exceptional work over the years and the successful leader will be driven to continue to build on the culture of teaching and learning we have developed.  A passion for extending both students’ and teachers’ ability as artists is a must within the disciplines of Junior Art, Painting, Photography and Design.

You will be working with a team of exceptional artists who are also amazing teachers.  They value collaboration, team teaching, thinking outside of the box and a keen sense of humour.   We expect our leaders to empower and grow people, supporting them to take creative pedagogical risks while teaching our students in a way that is authentic and full of manaaki and awhi.  We encourage all of our staff to inquire into their practice and promote the benefits of all Visual and Performing Arts to the wider school community.

The successful candidate will have a clear vision for the Department, sound knowledge in the Visual Arts curriculum including the requirements for Scholarship. Skills in Photography and Design are of advantage.
