ENROL NOW FOR TERM 4 2019
TUTOR: Gaye Jurisch
This is a class especially for those who want to learn about drawing right from step one with a tried and true method. Laughs and creativity included.
Students will learn how to draw with various materials, starting right at the beginning with learning how to find form and shape. We will experiment with pencil, charcoal, and Indian ink. We will use found objects and still life settings to explore individual drawing styles.
Participants will gain confidence in their new found skills and be encouraged to share in, and critique their own works and others in the class. We will also participate in discussions about the history of drawing and look at contemporary drawing practice.
My own art practice relies heavily on the art of drawing, in traditional ways with painting, printmaking, contemporary installation and sculpture. I am a full time artists with a regular exhibition schedule, throughout NZ and abroard.
